1986 Specialized Rock hopper
What a radical vintage bike! Rescued it from a back alley of Chicago headed to its doom.
Original 3x7 Shimano Deore XT Deerhead component group. (M-700) Shifts like butter.
Completely restored from the bottom bracket up.
New cables and housing, chain, freewheel, grips, wheels, tires, tubes, saddle
This bike is set up with old school mountain bike touring geometry meaning there is
plenty of room for fenders and racks and can handle the weight of a full load or groceries.
Really wanted to keep this bike for my wife but it was a little too big. So cool!
